How to add QR codes to items added via bulk image upload?

This article describes how you can add QR codes and labels to objects inventoried via bulk image upload.
If your team didn’t use the app in the field and only took photos of items, you can upload those images later from the office, let AI process them, and assign the correct labels and tags. This keeps your inventory complete and accurate.
1. Access Bulk Image Upload
Section titled “1. Access Bulk Image Upload”-
Open the job where you want to import photos.

Go to Job Settings.

Click Bulk Image Upload.
2. Upload Images
Section titled “2. Upload Images”-
Drag and drop one or multiple images into the upload window.
- Example: upload a single photo of a room, or dozens of images taken in the field.

Choose how you want AI to process the image(s):

Single Item Mode: AI identifies one main object in the photo.

Multiple Items Mode: AI detects multiple objects within the photo.

(Optional) Assign additional details before uploading:
-
Room (e.g., Living Room, Kitchen).
-
Salvage Category (e.g., Storage, Left On Site, Third Party, Non-Salvage).

Click Upload. ✅ You’ll receive an email notification once AI has finished processing the images.
3. Review AI-Identified Items
Section titled “3. Review AI-Identified Items”-
Refresh the job page after processing is complete.

In the job view, you’ll see thumbnails of your uploaded images with AI-detected items.

Depending on the mode you chose:

Multiple Items Mode → Several objects will be highlighted.

Single Item Mode → AI identifies the main object only.

4. Add or Create Labels for Items
Section titled “4. Add or Create Labels for Items”-
Select an item (e.g., an office chair) to edit it.

If no label is assigned:

In the item’s Label field (under Custody), click Select and choose an existing label.

Or create a new one:
-
Go to the Custody tab.
-
Click Create to open the Create Labels dialog.

Choose a name prefix, set the quantity (and optionally the label type and room), and click Create Label / Create [N] Labels (or Create & Print).

Return to the item, click Select next to the Label field, search for the new label, and click Save.
- ✅ The item is now tied to the correct label.
5. Print Labels
Section titled “5. Print Labels”-
Once an item is tagged, you can generate its QR code label.

In the Custody tab, select the item’s label, open the Print menu, and choose Print Selected Labels.

Choose your label format and print directly from your computer.
6. Handling Edge Cases
Section titled “6. Handling Edge Cases”-
If you run out of labels in the field:

Team members can manually generate QR codes in the mobile app.

These will appear in the Custody tab for later printing.

If labels were forgotten in the field:
- Use bulk image import + manual label creation in the office to fix it after the job.
