In ContentsPal, you can easily update an item’s status if it was originally marked as Non-Salvageable but later determined to be salvageable. Follow the steps below depending on whether you're using mobile or web.
📱 On Mobile
Open the Item
Tap the item you want to update.
Update Storage Category
Scroll down to the Storage section.
Change the category from Non-Salvageable to one of the following, depending on where the item belongs:
Storage
Left on Site
Third Party
Select Cleaning Category (Optional)
If the item will be cleaned and should be billed on the estimate, choose Needs Cleaning (or the appropriate cleaning category).
Assign a Tag
Under Tag, scan the QR code to assign a barcode.
Save
Tap Save to apply the changes.
💻 On Web
Select the item you want to update.
Update the same fields as listed in the mobile steps:
Change Non-Salvageable → Storage / Left on Site / Third Party
Select a cleaning category if applicable.
Note: Barcode scanning is not available on the web version.
