🏠 How to Add Rooms to a Job (Mobile App)
✨ Summary
You can add rooms to any job from the mobile app or the web portal. This helps your team collaborate efficiently by organizing captured items by room. When you add or edit rooms, everyone on the job can see them and contribute in real time.
✅ Prerequisites
You must have access to the job in the mobile app.
Ensure you have an internet connection to sync rooms with your team.
If you don't have service on the job site, make sure you load the job on your device ahead of time!
📱 Steps to Add a Room from the Mobile App
Option 1: From the Capture Screen
Open the job and go to the Capture screen.
At the bottom-left corner, tap the Default Room button.
(Note: Every job starts with a “Default Room” for unassigned items.)Tap New Room ➕
Enter a Room Name (e.g., Bedroom).
(Optional) Add a Comment or take Photos of the room.
Tap Done, then Create ✅
The new room will now appear in the room selection button. Tap it to choose which room to capture items into.
💡 Tip: As soon as you create a room, everyone else on the job can see it and add items to it.
Option 2: From the Job Report
Open the Job Report for your job.
Tap Manage Rooms 🛠️
Tap Add Room.
Enter the room name, comments, and optionally capture room photos.
Tap Create to finish.
Your new room will be visible to all team members working on that job.
✏️ Editing Existing Rooms
Tap the pencil icon next to All Rooms.
Select a room to:
Rename it
Add or update comments
Capture additional photos
If a room already has photos, a small 🖼️ icon will appear next to its name.
🤝 Collaboration Tips
All added rooms are automatically visible to everyone assigned to the job.
Team members can jump in and out of rooms to capture items collaboratively.
You can edit or add rooms at any time during or after a packout.
🧩 Troubleshooting
⚠️ Can’t see new rooms? Refresh the job or check your internet connection.
🔄 Room changes not syncing? Wait a few seconds for updates to propagate or reopen the job.
