Who can do this?

Only admins can create jobs. Jobs can be created on both the web app and mobile app, but we recommend starting from the web for speed and visibility.

1. Start a New Job

  1. Log into your ContentsPal account on the web.

  2. From the dashboard, click New Job.

  3. Enter a Job Name.

    • Tip: Use a consistent naming convention (e.g., CustomerName – Location – Date) for easier tracking later.

  4. (Optional) Add the Job Address.

  5. Select the Carrier associated with this job.

  6. Choose who to share the job with:

    • Specific team members (e.g., assign to a project lead).

    • Everyone in your org (useful for large shared jobs).

  7. Click Save.

    • ✅ Your new job is now created.

2. Add Tags to the Job

Tags help track boxes, items, and custody. They’re the foundation of your job workflow.

  1. Open the job you just created.

  2. Navigate to the Custody tab.

  3. Click Create Tags.

  4. Configure your tags:

    • Prefix: By default, this uses the job name. You can edit it.

    • Quantity: Enter how many labels you need (e.g., 10).

    • By Room (optional): Create tags grouped by room if you want room-based labeling.

  5. Click Create.

    • ✅ The tags are now available in the Custody tab.

3. Print Labels

Once tags are created, you’ll need physical labels for your team to attach to boxes or items.

  1. In the Custody tab, click Print Labels.

  2. Choose either:

    • Print All Labels (for a full set).

    • Print Range (to select a subset, e.g., labels 1–20).

  3. Select a Label Layout.

    • Pro Tip: Pick the layout that best matches your label sheets.

  4. Print directly from your computer.

4. During the Job

  • As your team applies labels to items or boxes, those tags will appear in real time in the Custody tab.

  • If you run out of labels:

    • Team members can create new ones directly in the mobile app.

    • These will sync automatically with the Custody tab.

  • You can always re-print selected labels later if replacements are needed.

Key Takeaways

  • Only admins can create jobs.

  • Use the web app for setup; the mobile app is great for in-field updates.

  • Tags = your tracking system. Always create them first before the field team starts work.

  • Labels can be printed, re-printed, or created on the fly — you’re never stuck without them.
